One of the primary objectives of the Fund is the acquisition, maintenance and increase of the value of the Fund’s assets required to finance the implementation of the Programme for the Decommissioning of the Krško Nuclear Power Plant and Disposal of the NPP Radioactive Waste and Spent Nuclear Fuel.
The Fund invests on a daily basis with an eye to ensuring the security and diversity of investments, maintaining liquidity and achieving a competitive return on investment. Essentially, the Fund is conservative and exposed to low risk – secure investment is the topmost priority.
Its main long-term goal is to expertly invest collected funds to generate appropriate returns so it predominantly invests in debt securities, deposits, repurchase transactions and open-end investment funds. Only a small portion of its assets are invested in equity securities and selected shares.
Regardless of the economic situation in the domestic and global markets, the Fund has maintained a stable level of returns and reached its planned annual financial goals.
