COOPERATION BETWEEN THE FUND AND THE COMPANY AREVA NC
During 2016, the Fund signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the French company Areva NC (in January 2018, AREVA and all its subsidiaries was renamed ORANO). The Memorandum of Cooperation between the Fund and Areva provides a framework for further cooperation between the participants in radioactive waste management in the following areas: establishment of radioactive waste management facilities, radioactive waste management, safety aspects of RW management and storage processes, as well as knowledge and data management; and for organising workshops, seminars and technical visits to Orano’s facilities.
The cooperation project with the company Orano is led by the Sector for Coordination of the Preparation and Development of the Programme for Decommissioning and Disposal of RW and SNF from the Krško NPP.
