COOPERATION BETWEEN THE FUND AND SE NUCLEAR FACILITIES OF SERBIA

The cooperation between the Fund and the State Enterprise Nuclear Facilities of Serbia - SE NOS began in early 2018 with the signing of an Agreement. The cooperation project with the SE NOS is led by the Sector for Coordination of the Preparation and Development of the Programme for Decommissioning and Disposal of RW and SNF from the Krško NPP.

SE NOS has experience in the establishment of facilities for the management of radioactive waste and other nuclear facilities, from planning, design, licensing to construction, outfitting and operation; it has developed a system for the management of radioactive waste and disused ionising radiation sources in the Republic of Serbia, from inquiries, verifications, acceptance, characterisation, financing to conditioning, packaging and storage, as well as experience in the decontamination and decommissioning of the research reactor. SE NOS cooperates with the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, with which it shares a common site.
